About

I’ve spent the last decade trying to convince myself that I was gutsy enough to start a blog; with so many things I wanted to say I thought someone, somewhere would be willing to read it. I started capturing these thoughts and ideas back in 2019, and since then, the Notes app on my phone has become the home to random quotes, weekend To Do and Target lists, and mini essays. I believe that what the public sees on social media is just a glimpse of what our lives really look like and that glimpse is usually the coated in glitter.

I’ve grappled with putting my “personal business” out there and wanting to protect myself and my children from feeling too exposed. But if I’ve learned anything from opening up about personal struggles in the past, it’s that someone, somewhere, is experiencing a similar struggle and maybe my written words can provide clarity, compassion, or camaraderie to others with parallel experiences. So here I go, putting myself out there on full display in hopes that others reading it receive the laugh, cry, motivation they need to keep moving forward. My only ask: be kind and respectful. Conversation is great, as is healthy debating, but keep in mind that we all experience life differently.
